HONOLULU (KHON2) — A woman is dead following an accident on Kahekili Highway.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Service said that around 7 p.m. on Oct. 28, a 71-year-old woman was apparently hit by a vehicle and suffered fatal injuries near Haiku Road.
She was pronounced dead on the scene.
EMS said the driver of the vehicle, a 69-year-old woman, declined transport to the hospital.
This marks the 72nd traffic fatality on Oahu, compared to 38 at the same time last year.
