One of Calgary’s most award-winning restaurants, currently Number 7 on the list of Canada’s Best Restaurants and an annual shoo-in on Avenue Magazine’s annual best restaurants list, is also a place that relatively few Calgarians have stepped foot inside. Eight, named for the eight guest seats positioned around chef Darren MacLean’s kitchen, is only open Thursday to Sunday, and it doesn’t take a mathematician to realize that’s not a whole lot of capacity.
