Titled Malama Chinatown: A Community Revitalization Event, the gathering is set to take place on Saturday, June 22, from noon to 6 p.m. at Dr. Sun Yat-sen Park, adjacent to Hawaii Theatre.

Greg Dunn, President and CEO of Hawaii Theatre, expressed admiration for the swift community response:

“It is inspiring to see the community swiftly rallying to support those affected – from restaurants to cherished mom-and-pop stores,” Dunn said. “These business owners are integral to the fabric of Chinatown, making this area uniquely special, especially since the theatre calls it home.”

The event will feature local Chinatown shops setting up booths in the park, alongside those open during regular weekend hours.
