Video of a man throwing a large rock at a monk seal in Maui made the rounds on social media. In the clip, the animal was calmly swimming near the beach at Lahaina when the thrown rock crashed very closely in front of it, sending up a splash of water — and causing the seal to scramble away in a rush.
