What to do in Honolulu for the 4th of July

Haleiwa 4th of July Festival and Fireworks

This family-friendly event at Haleiwa Beach Park includes a vintage car show, live music, food and crafts vendors, kids’ activities, and a thrilling fireworks display at 8:00 PM. The festivities start at 12:00 PM and are free to the public. Click here for more information. ​

Polynesian Cultural Center Fireworks

Head to the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie for a fun-filled evening featuring performances by local artists, free inflatables, carnival games, and a spectacular fireworks show at 9:00 PM. The event runs from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and is also free to attend. For more information, click here. ​

Independence Day Celebration at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam

This event is the biggest party of the year on the base, featuring music, fireworks, and various festivities. It runs from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and includes activities at Ward Field and a family area near the NEX Fleet Store. Note that this event is open to DoD ID cardholders and their guests​. Kailua Beach 4th of July Parade & Fireworks

The 75th Annual Kailua Independence Day Parade starts at 10:00 AM on Kainalu Drive, followed by a fireworks display at Kailua Beach at 8:00 PM. The event is free and open to the public. ​Click here for more information. ​

Ala Moana Center 4th of July Concert Series

The concert series kicks off on July 4th with performances by Common Kings, Anuhea, Kapena, and Willz. The concerts are free, with 5,000 tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis starting June 26. Click here for more information. ​

Waikiki Sunset Party Cruise with Live DJ

From July 4th to July 7th, enjoy a sunset party cruise with live DJ music. This event takes place at the Ocean and You Kewalo Basin Harbor​. For more information, click here.
