HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Pesticides Branch of the Hawai‘i Department of Agriculture announced on Tuesday that it is expanding its initiative to include Lāna‘i, offering farmers and commercial users a safe method to dispose of pesticides.
According to HDOA, the statewide Pesticides Disposal Program (PDP) is only for agricultural operations (farms, ranches, nurseries, greenhouse growers), licensed pest control operators and certified applicators, state and county agencies. Household pesticides will not be accepted under PDP.
Participants must register before Tuesday, July 16 at 4:30 p.m. to participate in the program.
