Hawaii’s Yancy Medeiros will return to the Bellator MMA cage this September in San Diego, California.
The former UFC contender will face Jora Ayvazyan (14-1) on the main card of the Bellator Champions Series event at Pechanga Arena on September 7.
Medeiros (12-8), most recently faced Charlie Leary on April 22 of 2023 in Honolulu as part of Bellator 295, where the Makaha native picked up a submission victory at the end of the first round but the win was later overturned to a no contest after Medeiros failed a drug test. Prior to that bout, Medeiros succesfully made his organizational debut with a unanimous decision victory over Emmanuel Sanchez at Bellator 279 at the Neal Blaisdell Center.
Also on the Bellator Champions Series card will be Maui’s Sumiko Inaba (7-1) facing Keri Taylor-Melendez (6-0).
