AIEA, Hawaii (KHON2) — An iconic weekly event at the Aloha Stadium will celebrate 40 years of business with an 80’s Extravaganza.
The Aloha Stadium Swap Meet and Marketplace is home to more than 400 small businesses around Hawaii since 1979.
To celebrate, officials from the Aloha Stadium will hold the “Explore, Engage and Experience the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace” on July 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Officials said participants can expect “a nostalgic nod to the 80s, promising a day filled with retro vibes, exciting activities and unbeatable finds.”
Shoppers can start off their day by supporting local and discovering all the deals vendors have to offer.
The first 250 shoppers who visit vendor booth may also have the opportunity to find the “golden” tickets at various vendor booths.
“From the colorful 80s to the future of the new Aloha Stadium District and Market, shoppers will be coming back month after month for great deals, commemorative giveaways and of course the decade experience,” Aloha Stadium said in a press release.
Guests are invited to experience the Celebration Zone at the Volcano Statue and South Stadium Entrance to participate in jazzercise, a roller-skating rink and more.
In addition, Aloha Stadium will also dedicate the next four months, highlighting each decade the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace has been open.
