HONOLULU (KHON2) — Hawaii Gas has filed an application with the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) to increase its gas rates by 17.7 percent on all islands.
If approved, it would go into effect by the middle of 2025 at the earliest.
Customers using non-utility tank and bottled gas will not be impacted.
The PUC will soon arrange public hearings on the matter.
