HONOLULU (KHON2) — On Friday, August 9, 2024, around 8:30 p.m., Pukalani residents were evacuated from their homes while Maui Police Department and FBI investigated a stolen vehicle potentially linked to the Pukalani IED incident.
Wailuku Patrol officers located the vehicle which was later deemed safe and unrelated to the IED case.
At around 10:57 p.m. roadways were reopened and residents were allowed to return to their homes.
The investigation remains ongoing.
