Annual Nā Hula Festival returns to Kapiʻolani Park with public performances

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The 83rd Annual Nā Hula Festival is returning to Kapiʻolani Park Bandstand in Waikiki on Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Since 1940, the Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation has been hosting the festival to celebrate the artistry and grace of hula. Nā Hula Festival is the biggest annual, non-competitive hula event in Hawaii, according to the Honolulu County website.

10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. Nā Wāhine o ka Hula mai ka Pu‘uwai

11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Puanani Alama Hula Studio

Noon to 12:10 p.m. 2024 Lei Queen and her Court

12:10 p.m. to 1 p.m. Hālau Hula o Pua ‘A‘ala Hone

1:05 p.m. to 1:55 p.m. Hālau Hula o Hōkūlani


Lahaina survivors open ‘Merienda,’ to pursue new beginnings on O’ahu

Attendees can bring their picnic blanket, covering, and food to the festival. Admission is free.
