HONOLULU (KHON2) — Waialae Avenue has been reopened in both directions between 5th and 6th Avenue after a hit-and-run incident prompted road closures near McDonald’s Palolo, according to Honolulu Traffic Division.
The collision, which involved a vehicle and a moped, occurred around 7 p.m. on Sunday.
The moped rider, a 28-year-old male, was transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition per Emergency Medical Services.
The investigation is ongoing.
