HONOLULU (KHON2) — It’s time for Food2Go, and today we’re featuring food and drinks of the barbeque belt and coastal regions of the southeastern United States and they have their “Crab Fest” going on right now.
Owner of Dixie Grill Tina Wary and General Manager Andrew Gonsalves joined Wake Up 2Day live on Monday to give us the details about what’s happening.
“This is our longest-running annual festival in Hawaii, and our most popular! We serve Crab dishes throughout the year, but for the festival, we add many new dishes that cannot be found on our menu,” Wary said.
Customers can try these new items from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day up until Oct. 15. There are multiple options on the menu for Crab Fest.
“We brought in Dungeness Crab from the town of Dungeness, Washington, where the crab is known for a meaty, delicate texture and distinctive sweet taste. We also have a special Crab Pasta, Crab Stuffed Deviled Eggs, Crab Poppers, and more,” Gonsalves said.
