The Pacific Whale Foundation is holding a free contest to celebrate the upcoming humpback whale season in Hawaii.


Hawaii’s first off-season humpback whale sighting captured by Oahu spearfisherman

The participant who guesses the closest date and time with published photo evidence by boat, land or air will win the grand prize.

Officials said the winner will receive a free PacWhale Eco-Adventures ecotour for two people, PWF membership and a swag bag.

In recent years, the first humpback whales have been spotted between mid-September and late-October.

Participants must complete the following steps to submit their guess:
