HONOLULU (KHON2) — Honolulu police have made an arrest in connection with an assault and attempted murder case at Beretania Community Park.
According to HPD, the apparent stabbing incident happened just before 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4.
Officials said the preliminary investigation revealed that two 13-year-olds were involved in a “physical altercation.”
HPD added that at one point, one of the juvenile’s adult sister got involved and apparently stabbed the other 13-year-old multiple times.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services said paramedics treated the 13-year-old girl and administered advanced life support before bringing her to an emergency room in serious condition.
The suspects involved were found nearby and were arrested without incident, HPD said.
