HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Hawaii Nurses Association announced that 159 nurses at Wilcox Hospital on Kauai are set to begin a three-day strike starting Tuesday, as contract negotiations have stalled.
The union said no significant progress has been made in talks with hospital management.
In response, Wilcox Hospital stated that it has offered similar terms to those recently agreed upon at Kapiolani Medical Center, including across-the-board wage increases and a flexible staffing plan.
The strike is set to begin Jan. 14, 2025, and both sides remain at an impasse over the terms of the new contract.
