HONOLULU (KHON2) — A car crash near Kualoa Park closed Kamehameha Highway in both directions Saturday night.
The crash happened just before 4:30 p.m. and left two people seriously injured.
Those injured, a 12-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man, were pedestrians that were hit by a vehicle.
Both sustained extensive lower body injuries, according to EMS.
Three others, who were in the vehicle, were evaluated at the scene by EMS but declined further assistance.
A sixth person was injured when she was hit by a parked vehicle that was hit by the first vehicle. She also was evaluated by EMS at the scene but declined further assistance.
The 12-year-old and 20-year-old were taken to the hospital in serious condition.
