HONOLULU (KHON2) — A man that was found guilty of murder and firearms charges will serve life in prison without parole, according to the prosecutorʻs office.
Twenty-nine-year-old Aaron Tuitelapaga was convicted in July for attempting to rob a game room in Ala Moana on Aug. 12, 2020.
Sausau Togiai, III, who was working security at the establishment, was fatally shot while trying to stop the robbery.
“This case is an example of how dangerous game rooms are and why they are such a blight on the community,” Prosecuting Attorney Steve Alm said.
Tuitelapagaʻs sentences will run consecutively.
