Aloha HA! Hawaiian Airlines to use Alaska flight codes beginning in 2026

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The flight code “HA” for Hawaiian Airlines will soon be a distant memory, with Alaska Air Group announcing that Hawaiian Airlines flights will stop operating under their own flight code in April 2026.

This change comes with some other tweaks in their systems, notably a new website to book tickets on Hawaiian Airlines, which the company said will show multiple airlines, not just Hawaiian.

All flights operated by Alaska Air Group will carry the “AS” call sign. Hawaiian Airlines branded jets will operate under “AS,” with booking websites showing the message “operated by Alaska as Hawaiian Airlines” to signify the flight will be on a Hawaiian-branded jet and have the familiar aloha spirit.

In the meantime, guests may receive branding that does not match their booking info, Alaska Air Group said.

Some passengers who booked on Alaska Airlines may receive communications from Hawaiian Airlines and vice versa, but Alaska Air said that has no affect on their reservation and their team will solve that issue.

Hawaiian Airlines will continue to operate under the “HA” flight code until April 22, 2026. Flights booked after that date will be changed to the company’s new booking system. All flights prior to April 22, 2026 will be unaffected.
