HONOLULU (KHON2) — With the ongoing renovations at Aloha Stadium, the near future of the beloved Aloha Stadium Swap Meet can be a bit confusing.
The swap meet isn’t moving — yet.
Vendors are set to stay in the current location until all work is completed in the Upper Halawa Lot, stadium authorities said.
This is just the latest push back in the relocation of the swap meet, with delays attributed to construction and a busy summer season.
The new location for the swap meet is expected to have a soft opening in the fall.
Currently, crews are leveling retail units, dropping vendor containers and prepping for awning installs.
Future additions to the swap meet include restroom plumbing, electrical, stage and seating relocation, as well as new signage.
