The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors traveled to Colorado Springs, Colorado to take on Air Force in the Kuter Trophy Game.
This game started off with big plays for both teams as UH took only 6 plays to score in the very 1st drive of the day.
Air Force answered back quickly after gaining 74 yards on only 4 plays to tie the game up at 7.
Despite the big plays by the Falcons, Hawaii went back to work in the 1st quarter as Alejado found Brandon White wide open down the sideline for the reception. White juked out the lone defender and walked in for the Touchdown.
At Halftime, Hawaii led 17-7.
In the 2nd half, UH forced the 1st turnover of the game as Matagi Thompson intercepted the Falcons which would give UH the momentum back in the 3rd.
The Rainbow Warriors came into the day not having scored a rushing touchdown all season, but in back-to-back drives to close out the 3rd quarter and open up the 4th quarter, UH scored 2 rushing touchdowns.
Landon Sims scored on a 1-yard run which was followed by a Cam Barfield 27 yard touchdown run to give the ‘Bows a 21-14 lead.
Hawaii wins 44-35.
