HONOLULU (KHON2) — Kauai Fire Department firefighters are currently battling a brush fire in Anahola, mauka of Kuhio Highway, across from the post office.
Crews from the Kaiakea Fire Station, including Tender 1, Air 1, and the on-duty Battalion Chief, are on the scene.
Air 2 is also en route to assist.
The Kauai Emergency Management Agency is actively monitoring the situation.
At this time, there are no road closures and no structures are at risk.
The fire is estimated at 6 to 10 acres.
