HONOLULU (KHON2) — On Oct. 31, Honolulu, Hawaiʻi will shimmer in every shade of fright and fun for Halloween costume contests.

Costumes will pour onto the streets of Waikīkī, from the rooftop parties to the keiki parades in neighborhood malls.

Honolulu’s Halloween weekend is a spectacle of style and imagination, with prizes that reach into the thousands and crowds that turn every corner into a stage.

Whether you plan to enter a contest or just admire the creativity, there is something for everyone. Here are the costume contests KHON2.com were able to verify for both adults and keiki/families.

Adult (21+) contests

Hula’s Bar & Lei Stand: Hulaween: A Very Addams Family
Friday, Oct. 31 • 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
134 Kapahulu Avenue, 2nd floor of the Waikīkī Grand Hotel.
Hula’s dance party transforms into the Addams Family mansion for the night. The 21-and-over costume contest offers more than $1,500 in cash and prizes. Live DJs/VJs and drink specials all night long as Hula’s celebrates its 51st Hulaween festivities.
