Connor Harrison breaks unique UH record

Harrison began his career at Sierra College in 2020. Back when he was a COVID freshman at UH in 2021, Harrison’s first career appearance came in a start against Arizona State on Feb. 27.

All told, Harrison has made three starts in a UH uniform, giving him a total of 72 pitching appearances for UH.

Harrison’s record on Sunday was a testament to his longevity and trustworthiness to UH coaches.

“Super proud of Connor,” UH pitching coach Keith Zuniga said. “He just shows up every single day. I might be his third pitching coach here at UH and he just always sticks to his process. He has his routine, he has his way of doing things, he has his way of getting himself ready and we always feel comfortable giving him the ball. He’s an awesome teammate, obviously a great left-handed pitcher. He’s tough on righties, he’s tough on lefties, he’s just a bulldog on the mound. Every ounce of success he’s seen here at UH, he truly deserves.”
