HONOLULU (KHON2) — A Pearl City motor vehicle collision involving three pedestrians has left multiple people in critical condition.
The incident occurred on Sept. 21 at approximately 10:41 p.m. on the westbound H-1 Freeway.
According to the Honolulu Police Department, a 24-year-old driver was traveling westbound on the freeway when he sideswiped a 28-year-old male motorist, who was stopped on the road.
The driver then struck three male pedestrians, 51, 35 and 24, HPD said.
The 51- and 35-year old pedestrians were taken to the hospital in critical condition by Emergency Medical Services, police said.
The remaining pedestrian and motorist were taken to the hospital in serious condition, officials said.
The initial driver remained at the scene and refused treatment.
