HONOLULU (KHON2) — A man who identified himself as a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer was arrested in Kapolei for terroristic threatening on Sept. 1, the Honolulu Police Department said.
The arrest stems from HPD’s response to reports of a 33-year-old female victim being threatened by a male suspect at approximately 10 a.m., police said.
The 42-year-old suspect allegedly displayed a portion of a firearm to the victim during a verbal argument, where he then threatened to shoot the victim, HPD said.
When first responders arrived at the scene, the man identified himself as a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer and was able to provide the appropriate credentials, authorities said.
Officials said the suspect was then arrested for Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree, with charges being sought from the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney.
Those who may have any information on the incident are asked to call 911.
