Deadline for Honolulu rail grants extended to Dec. 15

HONOLULU (KHON2) — To the business owners who wished for extra time to fill out a rail-related Transit Construction Mitigation Fund Grant submission, your wish has been granted.

Businesses that have yet to fill out the submission form through the online portal have a little extra time to do so, following the City and County of Honolulu’s extension of the deadline.

Instead of the original deadline of Thursday, Nov. 6, business owners now have until Monday, Dec. 15, at 4 p.m. local time to apply for their grant.

The City said grants of $10,000 per applicant will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to those who have been financially impacted by Skyline Rail construction — and businesses should not wait to apply.
