HONOLULU (KHON2) — Hawaii Department of Transportation announced Saturday morning the Hilo International Airport is experiencing delays.
Departing travelers have been advised to arrive at the airport two hours before their flight to combat delays at the security checkpoint.
DOT said several passengers have missed their flights.
Wait time through the checkpoint was recorded at 24 minutes.
