HONOLULU (KHON2) — The fight for State Representative in District 39 went to a recount. That recount was completed on Friday.
There was no change in the outcome.
Republican Elijah Pierick still maintained the lead with 4,706 votes and 50.11% to Democrat Corey Rosenlee’s 4,686 and 49.89%.
There are 2,500 ballots that still have signature issues, according to the County Clerk.
That amount of votes could make a difference in the recounted race.
Voters can track their ballots and have until Nov. 13 to cure, or fix, their ballot.
