HONOLULU (KHON2) — Need some plans for you and your pet this morning? Head down to Kapiʻolani Park to check out the furry festivities happening at The Hawaiian Humane Society’s 35th Annual PetWalk.
More than 1,000 pet lovers and their furry companions are expected to scurry over to Kapiʻolani Park this morning, Oct. 25, for Oʻahu’s largest outdoor pet-friendly event.
Every year, the PetWalk helps to raise crucial funds to support over 13,000 animals that are supported by the Hawaiian Humane Society each year.
The event features a variety of events, such as doggie yoga, local food, shopping and more.
A fan favorite is the costume contest that awards the most creative/unique, a su-PAW senior star, best owner/pet costume and best team.
Event Schedule:
7:00 am Check-in / day-of registration opens.
7:30 am Doggie yoga.
8:00 am Program starts and vendors open to the public.
8:30 am Ribbon cutting / PetWalk steps off.
9:50 am Costume Contest presented by Josie’s ʻOhana begins.
11:00 am Costume Contest Awards.
Even if you don’t show up with a pet, you may go home with one. Pet Hospitals of Hawaiʻi has brought plenty of adoptable pets who are hoping to find their FUR-ever home, with all adoption fees waived.
