HONOLULU (KHON2) — Trade winds will calm down briefly from Wednesday to Thursday but will pick up again and become breezy from Friday through the weekend. Expect showers mostly in windward and mauka areas, especially overnight and early morning, as moisture moves through.
A mostly dry trade wind pattern is expected through Thursday due to high pressure north of the area. Breezy trade winds are expected to return from Friday through the weekend as a trough moves away and high pressure strengthens. A slight increase in moisture and another trough passing south could lead to more showers from Sunday to early Monday, especially in the eastern part of the state.
