KANEOHE, Hawaii (KHON2) — A 39-year-old man has died after crashing on the H-3 freeway Wednesday night.
HPD said the man was speeding Kaneohe-bound at around 9:15 p.m. when his SUV hit a guardrail, went up an embankment and flipped several times.
The driver was thrown from the SUV onto the roadway.
The SUV then went down a second embankment where it knocked over a utility pole.
EMS transported the man to the hospital.
