EMS responds to two car versus e-bike crashes on Oahu

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Honolulu Emergency Medical Services were kept busy on Friday, responding to two car versus e-bike crashes on Oahu.

First responders started the day responding to an 11 a.m. crash at the intersection of Kalaheo Avenue and Kuukama Street.


‘Not a place to ride,’ HPD cracks down on e-bike violations

Reports said the 65-year-old female rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident and suffered minor cuts to her arms.

The rider declined transportation to an emergency room.

During the evening hours, EMS responded to another e-bike versus car crash on South Beretania Street and Keeaumoku Street around 7 p.m.

According to officials, paramedics treated a 37-year-old female rider who was in serious condition due to the crash.

She was later transported to a trauma hospital.
