HONOLULU (KHON2) — A structure fire in Wailuku claimed 25% of a commercial structure Thursday afternoon.
Maui Fire Department said they received the call to the Hookahi St. incident at 1:51 p.m.
Upon arrival, crews found smoke coming from the second floor of the commercial building.
MFD entered the structure and sure enough, found the fire on floor two.
They were able to get it under control rather quickly and ensured nobody was still inside.
No injuries were reported, nor were any individuals displaced.
The fire was reportedly under control by 2:04 p.m. and completely extinguished by 2:27 p.m.
Reports showed the fire was confined to only the second story but did affect 25% of the structure.
