HONOLULU (KHON2) — Honolulu Fire Department officials responded to a fire call incident on Monday, Nov. 11 at Kapiolani Medical Center.
According to HFD, firefighters were called to the incident shortly after 6 p.m. when smoke was reportedly coming from a duct.
Upon arrival, officials reported a wood frame in the duct was smoldering.
Firefighters were able to access the duct and fully extinguish the smoldering wood.
KHON2 has reached out to Kapiolani for more information but has yet to receive a response.
Honolulu police initiated a closure for the northbound lanes of Punahou Street from Beretania to Bingham.
