HONOLULU (KHON2) — A former local basketball coach and teacher was sentenced to more than 33 years in prison for sex offenses involving minors on Aug. 14.
Dwayne Yuen pleaded guilty to child exploitation and harassment last year, and received his sentence totaling 405 months for his crimes.
According to court documents, Yuen taught at elementary schools and coached keiki of all ages across private schools, clubs and community teams, as well as private lessons.
