HONOLULU (KHON2) — Tropical Storm Hone is well west of the Hawaiian islands and Gilma and Hector are moving westward to take its place.
Gilma is still a hurricane but is quickly becoming less organized as it moves into the central Pacific.
The hurricane remains 945 miles east of Hilo with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph, heading west at 13 mph.
Gilma is expected to rapidly weaken Tuesday until it becomes a remnant low on Thursday night.
Hawaii could get some storm remnants from Gilma late Thursday into Sunday.
Hector is a tropical storm with maximum sustained winds of 45 mph.
Though Hector is currently closer to Baja California, it is moving west northwest at 12 mph.
Hector is expected to continue its way west but is forecast to gradually weaken beginning Tuesday night.
