The HHSAA Girls Flag Football Season is in full swing for the ILH teams. Kamehameha and ‘Iolani faced-off on Saturday morning.
The Raiders took a 12-0 late in the 1st quarter after Haley Balantac threw 2 touchdowns to Hailey Fernandez.
But the Warriors striking with just 30 seconds left in the 1st quarter to pull within 6 after a deep Hayden Kaahanui-Cera completion to Kylee Sivertsen set up a touchdown and PAT.
The game went scoreless for the 2nd and 3rd quarters, and it wasn’t until Kamehameha struck again.
In the 4th quarter, Kaahanui-Cera fired it deep down the sideline to Kaila Miller for a 38-yard Touchdown connection.
The Warriors held on to win 13-12 after an interception by Bella Alo sealed the game for Kamehameha.
