MAUI, Hawaiʻi (KHON2) — Visitors can now spend the day as a Maui Gold Pineapple farmer and experience life on Maui’s last operating pineapple farm.

This new tour will have visitors digging for gold, Maui Gold Pineapples that is, during “The Planting Experience.”
The Planting Experience is a two-hour tour that will educate guests on cultivation techniques, the growing process and the beloved fruits’ history.
Maui Gold Pineapple samples in different stages of the ripening process will be provided, so guests can get a taste for how the fruit develops over time.
“Our new hands-on, educational tour takes guests through the intricate steps Maui Gold Pineapple farmers take to produce everyone’s favorite pineapple,” said Mary Britton, COO of Hawai‘i Farm Project. “It’s a terrific opportunity for pineapple enthusiasts and families who want to gain a deeper experience of planting, harvesting and tasting the golden fruit.”
The Planting Experience will be open on weekdays at 10 am. For guests 13 and older, it costs $145 per person. For guests ages three to 12, it will cost $135 per person.
Free parking is available at the Maui Pineapple Store or at Hāliʻimaile Distillery.
