HONOLULU (KHON2) — Today, Oct. 18, the ‘No Dictators’ protest is underway as millions of protestors across the islands and the mainland gather to protest against President Trump and his administration.
Nationally, it is called the “No Kings” protest, but out of respect for the aliʻi, it is being called the “No Dictators” protest in Hawaiʻi.
The protest’s mission is to be a peaceful movement across the country where people can gather who believe that America has No Kings.

Today’s protest participants are expected to surpass the June 14 day of action that saw nearly 5 million protesters nationwide. In June, the protest was scheduled to coincide with Trump’s birthday.
