Hawaiʻi State Public Library debuts colorful new look

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Hawaiʻi State Public Library System is debuting an all-new look for its system and library cards inspired by the natural beauty of Hawaiʻi.

Featuring a colorful new design, the geometric patterns resemble shapes found in Hawaiian kapa, artwork and tattoos, which all come together to form the letter “H.”

With this new look comes brand new library cards, which feature an all-new biodegradable body, fit to better protect the environment.

You can visit your local library to trade in your old card at no additional cost.

Prefer the old design? There are paper card sleeves featuring the all-new design that you can use to protect your current card.
