Hawaii baseball begins final road trip of regular season on Friday

Hawaii Baseball heads to California for their final road trip of the regular season, and will take on Cal State Fullerton beginning on Friday.

The ‘Bows are in a big series this weekend, as UH currently sits outside of the playoff picture for the Big West Conference Tournament. Hawaii sits 12-12 in conference play and will take on 3rd place CSUF who is 16-8 in Big West play.

Hawaii has struggled on the road as of late, as in their last 2 Big West road series UH is 1-5. So the ‘Bows will try to figure things out quickly as with only 2 series remaining, needs to grab some wins to help push them into the playoff picture.

To do that, it’ll start on the mound, as Head Coach Rich Hill told the media that they are treating this week like a playoff series.

“Everybody is on a short leash. You know, you’ve seen the quality of our bullpen,” said Hill. “It’s a playoff atmosphere where we feel like, you know, like we need to kind of have all hands on deck every game.”

Hawaii will get things started at 3:05pm on Friday against CSUF
