With an 8-0 victory over UC Riverside, the University of Hawaii baseball team extended its winning streak to 10 on Friday night at Les Murakami Stadium.
Hawaii improved to 31-15 overall and 14-9 in Big West Conference play, clinching the biggest winning streak of the Rich Hill era and matching the program’s longest winning streak since 2021.

A crowd of 1,731 watched as the ‘Bows put together 11 hits as a team, led by Austin Machado’s game-high three hits, two doubles and three RBI. Jordan Donahue and Elijah Ickes also had multiple hits for the ‘Bows.
On the mound, Randy Abshier pitched 6.1 scoreless innings with four hits and five strikeouts. Itsuki Takemoto did the rest of the pitching, making his first appearance on the bump since April 28. Takemoto allowed one hit and two runs with three strikeouts and two walks in 2.2 innings.
The Rainbow Warriors and Highlanders (15-30, 5-18) will conclude their series on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. No game will be held on Saturday due to commencement at UH-Manoa.
