The No. 2 University of Hawaii water polo team advanced to the national semifinals of the NCAA Tournament with an 11-6 win over Princeton on Friday in Berkeley, Calif.
Hawaii improves to 23-3, while Princeton’s season ends at 23-7.

Princeton scored first on Friday, but Hawaii eventually overpowered the Tigers, led by Jordan Wedderburn’s match-high three goals. Six other players scored goals for the Rainbow Wahine, including Bernadette Doyle and Alba Bonamusa Boix, who each scored twice.
Hawaii will face California, the only team other than UCLA it’s lost to in 2024, in Saturday’s second national semifinal at 1 p.m. HST.
