HONOLULU (KHON2) — Hawaiian Electric (HECO) announced Thursday afternoon they would be cancelling the Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) watch after the National Weather Service (NWS) canceled the red flag warning for all Hawaiian Islands.
NWS cancelled the warning at 3:33 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12.
HECO said they have been monitoring the weather conditions and with the winds decreasing and relative humidity increases, the threat of critical fire weather diminished.
No power shut offs went into effect under the PSPS program.
