HONOLULU (KHON2) — HIHI Hockey is rolling into the new season with facility improvement plans and national competitions.
The city and the mayor made a big commitment in helping the league.
“It’s about two million dollars to help build us a roof and get us some lights so that now we can support our community not just in the daytime hours, but also nighttime hours,” said Board Member, Lee Saguibo.
HIHI Hockey is representing Hawai’i nationwide. The excitement continues in the upcoming State Wars Tournament in Michigan with players in almost every division.
“I’m really excited for the program, it’s growing,” said Vice President of HIHI, Bo Chhoun.
