Hone moves past main Hawaiian islands

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Hone continues moving west away from the main Hawaiian islands.

According to the NWS, Hone’s maximum sustained winds are 65 mph as it moves west at 13 mph.

As of the 5 a.m. update, Hone is 240 miles west southwest of Honolulu and 205 miles south southwest of Lihue.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend out up to 80 miles from the center.

There are no remaining coastal watches or warnings at this time.
