HPD made arrest for assault, attempted murder incident involving juveniles

HONOLULU (KHON2) — HPD has made arrests following an incident involving two 13-year-old juveniles that occurred on Oct. 4.

HPD said District 1 Patrol officers responded to Beretania Community Park around 3:20 p.m. regarding a stabbing incident.

HPD’s preliminary investigation indicated that a physical altercation occurred involving two 13-year-old juveniles. One juvenile’s adult sister intervened and stabbed the 13-year-old victim multiple times.

Regarding the earlier juvenile altercation, officers have opened an Attempted Murder in the Second Degree case and an Assault in the Third Degree case.

HPD said the suspects involved were arrested without incident after being located nearby.

EMS reported that the 13-year-old victim was treated and transported to an emergency room in serious condition.
