HPD: Manoa unattended death reclassified to murder

MANOA, Hawaii (KHON2) — HPD announced through a social media post that the unattended death on Dole Street in Manoa has been reclassified as second-degree murder.

Police officials were initially called to the scene on Friday just after 2 p.m. when a body was found in a storm drain on the 2600 block of Dole Street.


Unidentified body recovered from storm drain on Dole Street

Honolulu Fire Department assisted with the retrieval of the body which was sent to the medical examiner to determine a cause of death.

On Saturday, an autopsy revealed that the unidentified female body had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

No arrest has been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
