HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Police Department is holding a press conference at 1 p.m. on Sept. 8 to address the Halawa murder and Nanakuli shooting that took place last week.
On Sept. 4, a 43-year-old woman was found dead in her Halawa home with multiple chop wounds to her head and neck, HPD said.
Two days later on Sept. 6, a 38-year-old man was arrested in connection to the woman’s murder.
Over in Nanakuli, also on Sept. 6, HPD responded to reports of gunshots that left at least two men injured.
As a result, a 19-year-old male was arrested for Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, as well as firearms offenses.
